We conduct workshops for company employees where in they participate in cultural events of the organization. This helps in team building and in turn enhances efficieny and productivity of the group. Talks and lecture demonstrations connecting Indian art & aesthetics with management principles and daily life. Our offerings include classes in Natyashastra (the theoretical framework of Indian Classical Dance) and Carnatic Vocal music, ensuring that our students receive a well-rounded education.

Founded in 2002, Nrityodaya Charitable Trust is a renowned cultural organization. Our mission is to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Indian classical dance, with a particular focus on Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam. Through various initiatives, including workshops, classes, and performances, we strive to create awareness among students and aspiring artists about the timeless legacy of Indian classical arts.

Courses Offered

Nrityodaya School of Classical Dance is the trust's educational arm, dedicated to nurturing and developing talent in Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam. Based in Vadodara, the school offers comprehensive training in these classical dance forms and has become a prominent institution in Gujarat, fostering young artists and helping them hone their skills.

02. Hobby Classes

Our institution currently serves over 80 students, providing world-class instruction in classical dance. We are particularly committed to making dance education accessible to children from underprivileged backgrounds and municipal schools, offering them the opportunity to learn and grow in an art form that can also provide a vocational path.

Arunima Murali Nair

Performer & Educator

Arunima Murali Nair is a Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam performer and senior disciple of Dr. Ayswaria Wariar with over 16 years of training. A Doordarshan-graded artist and Kal Ke Kalakar awardee, she combines her passion for dance with her academic background in English literature and teaching.

Wincy Fernandez

Classical Dance Teacher | Doha, Qatar

Wincy Fernandez is a Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam practitioner, educator, and former faculty member at Nrityodaya School of Classical Dance. A disciple of Dr. Ayswaria Wariar since 2015, she now teaches classical dance in Doha while leading Shivadam School of Performing Arts in India.

Rashmi Nair

Bengaluru, India

Rashmi Nair is a Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam practitioner who has been training under Dr. Ayswaria Wariar since 2014. A long-time member of Nrityodaya, she has performed in numerous prestigious festivals and dance productions, and continues her training online while based in Bengaluru.

Manimaran Ilangovan

General Manager | Classical Dancer & Teacher

Manimaran Ilangovan is a senior disciple of Dr. Ayswaria Wariar and a Doordarshan-empanelled classical dancer. Alongside his professional career as a General Manager, he conducts Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam workshops, performs extensively, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bharatanatyam.

Urmit Shah

Accounting Analyst | Poet & Classical Dancer

Urmit Shah is an Accounting Analyst, poet, and senior disciple of Dr. Ayswaria Wariar at Nrityodaya School of Classical Dance. In addition to performing Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam, he has served as the Sutradhār for several of Dr. Wariar's acclaimed dance productions and continues to perform with the Nrityodaya ensemble.

02. Performances

In line with our mission to provide students with a platform to showcase their talents, Nrityodaya Charitable Trust organizes and hosts a range of professional events. These include solo dance recitals, group choreographies, thematic dance ballets, and festivals dedicated to Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam. Our events feature performances by esteemed artists, offering students invaluable exposure to high-caliber artistry. These performances, open to all, allow us to deepen our students' understanding of classical dance through practical engagement with celebrated gurus in the fields of music and dance.

Nrityolsavam 
A Celebration of Classical Dance 

Since its inception in 2017, Nrityolsavam has grown into a distinguished cultural festival in Vadodara, Gujarat. Conducted biennially by the Nrityodaya Charitable Trust and curated by Dr. Ayswaria Wariar, the three-day festival brings together eminent artists from across India, celebrating the rich traditions of Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kathak, Odissi, and other classical dance forms.

Each edition explores a thought-provoking theme, combining performance, artistry, and scholarship to deepen audiences’ understanding and appreciation of India’s classical heritage.
